Well, it's like this... I don't listen to music much. When I do, it's often hard house and techno (etc), which is short on lyrics and long on beepiness. So... here's ten hard-house/techno bleep sequences for you, described in the key of 'la-dee-dah minor'... if you're really incredibly bored (and have a vague familiarity with dance music), you can try and guess what tracks they are. I suspect this offer isn't actually going to appeal to anyone that reads my journal :)

Note, the only part of the screen he showed me was the lines of lyrics with the "da da da, etc" bits. I had no idea whatsoever which genre of music I was supposed to be guessing from.

I doubt anyone will get any of them (except possibly duranorak might manage the last one as she has heard it at Cyberdog so has some idea of what it really sounds like). It's more the absymal renderings than the obscurity of the tunes that's the problem...

When I post the answers, I'm anticipating a few comments along the lines of "NO NO NO!!! It's da da dit da-dah there!" :)

Yeah, I have company tonight, and she's not much on rock clubs. By the way, your *alternative announcements didn't actually repeat the details of the club/night/whatever it is, so I dunno what's going on anyway - having of course completely forgotten the original announcements by now :)

Well if you'd check out the noalternative yahoo group from time to time, you'd have all the details....! :) but you seem to have journeyed into some far off land where us socialising doesn't occur anymore... :(
