So Age 4 of Kings of Chaos ended. I didn't win by the way, but that was pretty established a while back... I was really just serving out my time towards the end. I got quite disillusioned with things when some bugs in the game stopped my alliance pulling off quite a neat 'strength from numbers' thing a few months ago, and it was then that the idea of resigning from the game first came to me. And now it's done.

I'm really really going to miss some of the people I've met through this game - especially those in my alliance, Phoenix Rising. I will hang out on IRC with them for a while yet, but without the impetus of the game to keep my attention there, and without access to the 'members only' channels, inevitably I will slowly lose contact with most of them. There are some I will stay in contact with though, and many more that I'll remember from time to time for years to come. I'm really proud of how well that alliance has done in the 2 Ages since I formed it, and it's got some great people in it. I think they'll probably do even better last Age than we did in this one, maybe even better than we did in Age 3. Which we totally owned :)

Anyway, I'm very close to crying right now. Basically the only thing stopping me is that I'm laughing at how pathetic it is :) I'm gonna go talk to them for a while longer, then head for bed.

Aww mate, I know you put a lot of work and effort into the alliance, I must admit, I wish I had known there was a countdown, or something, I just logged on to spend some gold and go kick but, and it was already over...:(

The last time I checked I was in the top 10K which was my target so I'm happy, don't think I will play again, but it was very entertaining.

Nope... I always thought KoC was fairly dull, I just got really heavily into the politics/people involved. I think I'd be better off putting the time and energy into getting to work on time in the mornings (he says, running late for work again).

hehe, good plan :) Well I'll go search for some game that we could start up co-op style as to not waste too much time on it :) People really is the only reason I play any game. Unless it has online play or multiplayer, I don't even bother trying it anymore.
