That sounds like the worst idea ever.

I don't want to have a windows update go wrong and leave the keyboard unusable, and I don't want some idiot borrowing my machine and downloading a trojan that scrolls obscenities and fascist propoganda across it either.

Remember, kids, complexity is The Enemy.

I want one! Not that I'm a gamer, a graphic designer or anything at all that would find a use for it, but oooooh, shiny! Think of the possibilities...

Don't forget using it to flash subliminal messages at you, or getting it to strobe along to your favourite songs, depending on the resolution using it to play back movie files on the numeric keypad, slowly change colour like a lava lamp depending on how busy your machine is, for every new email you get light up a separte key with their picture on it showing you who the mail is from at a glance, if you had a video entry phone you could do same, scroll your lj friends page down the keypad each time it gets updated...

I could have so much fun with this!

I'd be more likely to go for Das Kayboard, if it was a buckling-spring design. It isn't, though.

Das Keyboard is ++cool, admittedly. I suppose it's the difference between 'style' and 'bling' :)

Yes. Stop lusting after the latest trick hardware that won't work properly when it arrives, or I'll have to start calling you James.
