Not for me, for the car:

new wheels
Shiny new wheels!

And for comparison purposes...

old wheels
Not quite so shiny old wheels!

More pics here (scroll to bottom of page for new wheels).
Yes, my car has its own webpage. Yes, I know how very sad that is. No, I don't care :)

OMG how much did that cost you? And are you going to sell the old ones?

If you know anyone who wants a set of 16" five-spokes to fit a Mazda, I'm all ears. I imagine the only people interested will be RX-7 owners who've badly kerbed their own...

Isn't that the old set in your icon? Either that or you've labelled the photos wrongly..? *Confused look*

The icon is one of the new wheels... the labels are above rather than below the photos, is that what's causing the confusion? Top photo is new wheels, bottom is old wheels.

Ah yes, I thought 'shiny' was part of the post, and the 'old wheels for comparison' was the first photo label. Silly me. :)

Just finding it hard to grasp the evident massive difference you seem to see!

:)

The new ones are 18" diameter rather than 16", which means the height of the tyre sidewall is reduced by about 50%. This means that the shape of the tyre distorts far less during cornering, which makes the handling noticeably more precise.

That's the grown-up excuse for getting them. Actually I just think they look nice :-P
