I do think that the mother blaming the school for poor quality sex education is a bit obviously stupid. Yes, schools should have better sex ed, but what on earth was she telling them? Babies are delivered by storks?

The mother not giving sex ed is precisely why schools need to give good sex ed. Relying on parents is a stupid thing to do, a fact demonstrated by this grandmother.

Maybe she didn't expect to have to tell the 12-year-old for a bit. I know that at that age I wasn't thinking about sex. I'd barely discovered masturbation. It was certainly wishful thinking in this day and age not to have at least asked the oldest girl whether she knew about safe sex, though.

One of the guys I work with uses the online name TeeJay (notice the 12 year old's kid is called T-Jay). He's not going to hear the last of this for a few days :)

Fantastic quote from the mother. Superb names for the newborn children. Amazing how people continue to refuse to take responsibility for thier actions.

In Milton Keynes shopping centre the other day, two sisters (maybe thirteen and fifteen/sixteen years old) strolled past with their mother, and their kids.. Kids were wearing matching outfits to boot. It's horrific when people dress up their kids the way some of them do, like somebody I used to know whose mother dressed her up in mini-skirts and lots of blusher when she was about six years old. That's just not right.

Oh, and, even better: my boyfriend's thirteen year old sister declared that she wanted to become pregnant then dump whoever the father was - originally saying she was going to use somebody to just get pregnant - just so she could be a single mother and promote 'girl power'.

Yesterday's Daily Mail had a full-page story about it, as well as many other shocking examples of the decline of modern Britain.
