Got insurance sorted out for the car today... after a rather nasty couple of hours where it looked like nobody was going to go below the first few quotes I got, which were in the region of £1400 (!!), I finally found somewhere that would cover me for £1006 (Norwich Union). That's with full legal cover, breakdown cover, protected no claims, 'luxury' courtesy car, etc etc blah blah. They could have pushed it lower, but I would have had to accept over £500 excess, which felt like pushing a bit too hard for my tastes.

So. I now definitely know that I can pick the car up on Thursday. I almost feel safe to start calling it 'my' car at this point :)

Insurance is a bitch. I did £1300 TPFT for the first year on my Triumph as I'd only been riding for a few months and had just had my bike nicked - could not face not having theft on the new one..

It gets delivered on Friday. This will leave me with the terrible Friday night dilemma of whether to play with my new computer or go out for a drive in my new car.
