OK people, here's the deal. One of the guys I work with is in a band, 'Don't Say No', and for ages he pestered me to go see them play. So, with trepidation, jon_nyara and I went to see the band and we were actually quite impressed. Anyway his band is now in the top 30 in the National Student Music Awards and they need your vote.... well I think they do...
Basically what I'm asking is if anyone reading this can go to http://www.nsma.com/uk/vote/vote.asp and vote for Don't Say No, that would be really cool. If they win, they get recording time in Abbey Road, a distribution deal and a performance on CD:UK (which in itself would be really funny)
Even better pass this on to everyone you know/work with, get them to vote as well, even if it's just so we can see Gary on CD:UK!

Date: 2005-01-26 04:08 pm (UTC)(It says you can vote as many times as you like by SMS for 25p + SMS cost (10p) a go. That's 2900 votes for £1000. How many extra votes do you think it would take for a marginal band to guarantee a win? Given the prize on offer an ambitious unsigned band might consider that money well spent.)

Date: 2005-01-27 10:26 am (UTC)yep these song are a little tame, these two songs are a little more... mainstream, shall we say, than when we saw them perform.
Thanx for voting for them, sadly i doubt we'll see them on TV
