Well, the Queen says that a paving bill will go ahead, but doesn't guarantee (because she can't) that it'll be passed by the election. Not that we've got an election coming up before the end of the session, oh dearie me no.

After that, there has to be at least one more bill to actually introduce the things, so it's all still to play for.

Although I agree with the Photo Drivers License, ( you don't have to carry it with you )
I figured it was just a way of getting us used to carrying id type cards around before they actually tried to bring it in...

I concluded last night that Blunkett could get a hell of a lot more public buy-in with ID cards if you could get Nectar points with them...

Seems quite generous to me...< runs outside Sainsbury's clutchiong Nectar card to "menace" the Babylon >
