Bleh. Stuff, and things. And balls :)
Jul. 25th, 2004 02:53 pmI seem to have let LJ slide again over the last couple of weeks. Hope I didn't miss anything too earth-shattering.
I'm still alive, walking without a cane now, although still with a copious supply of painkillers. It's nice to finally feel progress being made at an appreciable pace though - I can walk further every day before it gets too painful, which is great.
Last weekend I was at an outdoor music event, and I took my juggling balls and poi to play with. While I was there, (a) I managed to figure out Mill's Mess (w00t), and (b) a guy from BBC Radio asked me if he could 'book me'. When I explained that I wasn't a professional juggler, he looked a bit perplexed, then said "Can I book you anyway?", so I gave him one of my cards... maybe I have a new career ahead of me? ;)
I'm having a bit of a juggling obsession again at present... I'd forgotten how much more fun it is with music going, and with people wandering past and stopping to look for a bit... I guess as the weather kicks in I should try and get out to a park or something. Really need a music source though, and I can't afford any kind of decent personal stereo at present.
In other news, my sister and her husband are at my house today demolishing the back garden. They call it 'tidying', but personally I liked the trees and bushes they've killed. Oh well, they're the ones buying the place...

Date: 2004-07-25 07:40 am (UTC)He's their outdoor events co-ordinator or something, they're doing a mini music festival in one of the local parks next weekend. He wants me to "wander around and be entertaining"...

Date: 2004-08-09 02:44 am (UTC)When my brother was a kid, he had a short, regular spot on the radio when he would phone in and do magic tricks. I seem to remember he finished the run with making an African elephant dissappear.
*Grin*
You still okay, dude?

Date: 2004-07-28 04:32 am (UTC)There's a lot to be said for doing festival events with a performer persona. You get to meet lots of nice people while risking little psychologically as it's all done through the filter of the performer
