Just finished reading 'Jennifer Government' by Max Barry. It's quite good - a near-future satire where people take the name of the company they work for. It uses real company names, and the companies do some really unethical things in the course of the book... the legal disclaimer in the front was quite painstaking :)

Got turned down for yet another job early in the week, but got phoned twice by a guy chasing up an application for another job and probably have an interview there on Friday. My sister emailed today to say she's got a mortgage advisor coming over at the weekend to do paperwork, so it looks like I might sell this place soon-ish... which can only be a Good Thing™ as far as my debt situation is concerned.
