[personal profile] denny
(I've dropped a couple of questions from this because I wasn't interested - if you want to do the meme 'properly', copy it from elsewhere)

1. Does my username suit me?
2. Is my journal's title cryptic or descriptive? What do you think it means?
3. Does my journal expand your knowledge of me?
4. Do you think my bio describes me well? If there were no names given would you be able to guess who it was describing?
5. Which of my interests surprises you the least?
6. Which of my interests surprises you the most?
7. Which of my interests needs explaining?
8. Which of my userpics suits me best?

Answers on a postcard comment please...

You missed out 6...?

My journal name and title are quotes from PotC, both taken from the list of crimes Cap'n Jack Sparrow is being hung for.

Compersion n : the feeling of taking joy in the joy that others you love share among themselves, especially taking joy in the knowledge that your beloveds are expressing their love for one another.

1. Well, yes in that it's your name. That said, whilst your name doesn't clash with you, there are probably others that would suit you better. You could be a Nicholas, or maybe a James. (nope, I've no idea why)
2. Not really applicable, is it? Damn these people who insist on having their real names as their usernames. What?
3. Not much. But only because I think I know you pretty well in real life.
4. *grins* Well, there are a limited number of people I've described as a fantastic shag, so that would narrow it down ;> Yes. I think it describes you well.
5. Boots. *kisses*
6. Activism perhaps. It's odd, for one so lazy ;P
7. Well, I'd never heard of sapiosexuality before seeing it just now, and "not quite touching fingertips" would need explaining if you hadn't already done so.
8. Either Nice Boots... or Ego-trip, but Can you guess? is the prettiest.

*sigh* And I'm missing you like crazy now. Bah.

2 is about the bit where I have PotC quotes, rather than the username.

I take it sapiosexuality is fairly easily worked out?

And *snuggles*.

By the way, I saw a girl today who had deliberately dyed her hair the colour yours keeps going :-P
(I'm assuming it was deliberate as her jumper matched)

Ah. In which case the Depravity etc. one is very you, but the other one is slightly more [livejournal.com profile] giolla...

Presumably sapiosexuality is a bit like pansexuality, without the same capacity for sarcastic comments about goats?

I see plenty of people with pink hair, and some of them it suits quite well, but it really isn't me. Anyway, it hasn't gone pink this time, it's making it's way back to blonde via ginger, which still isn't ideal, but it's rather less annoying.

I think the aim of sapiosexuality was to state that you're turned on by intelligence. It was in an LJ thread somewhere and I clicked the 'add this to my interests' link and then pretty much forgot about it, to be honest.

1) Well it's your name, but it's suitably unique
2) Apt, but more intent than action ATM
3) It probably has in the past, but I think I know you fairly well by now
4) EGO! And I'd probably make a fair guess ;)
5) Most of 'em
6) You'll have to try harder than that to surprise me ;)
7) "Zipless fucks" raises an eyebrow, but I'm not sure I dare ask for explanation
8) Possibly Callinging, although I'm sure you'll claim you're not a goth ;)

"zipless fucks." That was the term [Erica] Jong coined 30 years ago when her first novel, "Fear of Flying," was published.
[...]
Apparently chicks wanted a "zipless fuck" -- or as Jong explained: "Zipless because when you came together zippers fell away like rose petals, underwear blew off in one breath like dandelion fluff. For the true ultimate zipless A-1 fuck, it was necessary that you never got to know the man very well."

http://www.salon.com/sex/feature/2003/06/14/jong/index_np.html

Basically a zipless fuck is the ideal spontaneous casual sexual encounter - one without any of the practical stumbling blocks of reality that can be characterised by fumbling with fastenings.
