England's Dumbest Criminals
Jan. 8th, 2006 08:25 pmI have to re-post this from a friend's journal, as it's a beautiful image...
I think I forgot to mention that the CCTV footage from the second ramraid last month was actually very amusing. The car initially bounced off the glass and, once inside, the people just ran around a lot, excitedly, and stole nothing. They were still there when the police turned up. 'Evidence of drug use' was mentioned. So, essentially, a bunch of munters crashed their own car into the shop and then failed to leave before the police showed up.
Re: tube strikes...
Jan. 8th, 2006 10:25 pmSaw this BBC article being discussed on #uk_goffs... I double-checked the numbers on TFL's site, because it was that unbelievable:
52 FUCKING DAYS???
Next time I see anything about a strike in a tube station, I'm going to deface it, I swear. Cheeky fuckers!
Mr Livingstone said a deal was reached more than a year ago to give station staff a 35-hour week and 52 days leave, adding that he was totally committed to implementing it.

"This strike is completely unnecessary. This deal gives Tube station staff a 35-hour working week and 52 days' holiday a year."
