Shit, I am getting old. In my defence, I'd like to point out there wasn't a result for '13 years old' - the next one down was '10 years old', which is a bit too innocent for my liking or lifestyle :)

My inner child is sixteen years old!

Life's not fair! It's never been fair, but while adults might just accept that, I know something's gotta change. And it's gonna change, just as soon as I become an adult and get some power of my own.

How Old is Your Inner Child?

Mosquito repellents don't repel. They hide you. The spray blocks the mosquito's sensors so they don't know you're there.

Just got an email I've not received a million times before now, full of useless facts many of which I didn't know )

The best way to make me...

Laugh
Put an Eddie Izzard DVD/video on.

Cry
Hrm, not so easy these days... I used to sniffle at all sorts of things, but it seems to have worn off. Most likely would be if I did something to hurt someone I love.

Annoyed
Refuse to believe that laws which impinge on personal privacy are a bad thing.

Dance
Play dance music. Prodigy, especially. Even now I still bounce a bit, if I don't make an effort not to.

Sing
Erm, usually to angst-ridden/angry nooooo-metal. Sorry :)

Scared
I've had some very effective if rather short nightmares lately featuring the side of a car appearing a few inches in front of my nose.

Bored

Hungry
I don't often get hungry, unless I skip eating for a couple of days at least - which I'm really trying not to do at present, I suspect my leg needs regular fueling if it's going to rebuild these bones.

Strange
Ooh, no idea... I'm as normal as the next person. :)

Was just talking to [livejournal.com profile] azekeil on ICQ and he reminded me of a rant I meant to post when I got out of hospital. The energy has gone out of it now, so it's not a rant, but I think it's still worth posting as a point for discussion:

While I was in hospital there was a fortnight where I didn't really eat much - I was on morphine, which does horrible things to your digestive system, the simplest of them being a loss of appetite. I lost enough weight (given that I started off skinny) that the hospital sent the dietician around to see me, and she recommended that I should be put on those protein supplement drinks. I agreed to this, until they turned up with one the next day and I noticed it was made by Nestle - who I'm boycotting. So I politely refused to drink it...

My dad was pretty narked about this when he turned up that evening - he was trying to tell me that "there comes a time when you can't let principles get in the way of what's good for you"

My answer would have been - if I wasn't too wankered on morphine to think straight at the time - "That's exactly when you find out if you've got principles... or just opinions". I couldn't believe he thought that I should stand down on something like that - regardless of what his opinion of the boycott itself was - just because it was now inconveniencing me.
denny: (Juggling)
My dad, sent on a mission to purchase me one green/blue aerotech ball for my birthday (glowing juggling ball, same as the blue, red, and blue/red ones I already have), turned up this evening looking slightly pleased with himself. I looked slightly pleased with him too, after I opened the two wrapped up items, to find one green/blue ball... and one green/UV ball. The UV ones haven't been out long and are usually special order items - the only reason the shop had one in stock was that the guy who works there wanted to play with it :)

Sadly, the UV ball appears to be a darkish blue as far as my camera is concerned... but I assure you it's a very pretty purple colour really :)
