How would you like an entire Atari 2600 console, with ten built-in games, all contained in a replica of the original joystick? Yeah, me too!!

If you leave XP in really big and fluffy default mode its almost
hypnotic...

DISCLAIMER: Daniel would like to explain that he doesnt really use XP in

Morals

Thinking about one of the questions I asked in my Blunt Truth survey thing:
Do I have good morals?

How do you interpret that? I read it as "do you think I adhere to my own moral code?", but it's also possible to interpret it as "do you approve of my moral code?" or "does my moral code match that which society expects?".

Here's what I said on IRC earlier on the subject:
<denny> I happen to have a strong personal moral code... it just doesn't sync up well with what is legally or socially expected in this country.

Thoughts?

I've been bitching about slow db responses here for days now. I've only just spotted the glaring error in my SQL that meant I was doing a join the size of an Ikea warehouse and returning the entire database about three times over. No wonder it was slow.

Working late tonight as penance.

At some stage during the excitement of debugging my lousy Perl script, I seem to have chewed my lips until they bleed. This is probably due to the fact that I've given up biting my fingernails, have an ulcer so I can't chew the inside of my mouth, and I ran out of chocolate earlier this afternoon. In general I seem to have a terribly high amount of nervous energy that expends itself in this kind of pointless activity, and yet no energy to do anything useful whatsoever. Odd.

Also, being the perfectionist that I am, I didn't just chew my lip until it hurt in one place, oh no. I evenly distributed the damage around my entire mouth incrementally, so that when one bit started bleeding, I looked at the rest and realised it was all in much the same state.

I've just been out and bought some chocolate.
