Just went to see Pirates of the Caribbean. The world should be very glad that I'm currently laid up in the short to medium term, or I'd be running around with a sword any minute now.

Ah well... perhaps the timing will work out with it being released on DVD.

I'm long overdue for buying one of my own... I've just not ever seen one that's Quite Right. Somewhere in my head there is a very clear idea of exactly what my sword should look and feel like, I just have no way to express it until I see the damn thing, hold it, and then go "Ooh! Ooh! This one!!". At which point I shall buy it  :)

Tis the first time I've ever wished even for a minute that I could grow a beard  :)

I think I may have to acquire some more piratical clothing at some point... I rather enjoy acting the charming rogue. Or as azekiel points out above, a Gentleman Adventurer.

As long as you're up for it being silly :) It's definitely well done, imnsho.

The only thing I can think of to compare it to is the Princess Bride - for swords and silliness, as well as being a damn good film.
