Bleurgh...
Apr. 11th, 2003 12:29 pmSo. Arrived at Whitby rather late last night. At least I got here, which is more than can be said for my car - it blew up somewhere between Leeds and Scarbororough. We abandoned it in a pub car park and caught a rather expensive taxi from there to here, arriving just in time to get a few drinks in before the pub closed. I had a pint, which meant of course that I was completely pissed and could barely walk home.
A cold and lonely night's unrest later, I finally gave in the third time I woke up, at 8am, and went out for a walk. Went back later to find
gothslut and
giolla just getting up, and now we're in a cafe. Meanwhile no-one is returning my begging messages, so I've no easy or affordable way of getting back to my car, despite the fact that the landlady at the pub has very nicely found a mechanic who was willing to fix it this morning.
Arse. So far, I'm wishing I'd stayed at home. Hopefully the weekend will improve, eh?
Update: actually, I've just realised it won't until I get the car sorted out. I've been stuck like this before (not that I drive a lot of crappy cars, oh no), and I don't like being stranded and not knowing what can be done about it.

Hope the rest of the weekend improves...
