I saw an article about this (http://yro.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=08/02/18/2033202) a couple of weeks ago, and mentioned it on the LUG - definitely a case of Do Not Want.
I'm glad I'm not with these providers, but I'm with PlusNet, who are owned by BT. Apparently they have completely separate policies though and (due to someone on the list having a contact) heard that they have no current plans to take part in this, although obviously some people may be prepared to give up some their privacy in exchange for lower cost internet provision (although I see no announcements from the three ISPs listed as taking part that they plan to reduce the price they charge their customers as a result of this deal).
