Motivation...

dennyWhen I started working here, I tried to install the Last.fm player on my machine. It installed fine, but wouldn't actually play anything - it claimed it was, but no sound was forthcoming. I spent two hours trying to figure out which part of the sound subsystem was ballsed up before giving in and using my laptop to play Last.fm instead.
Today, my laptop is safely at home in its current role as my sole method of getting online from the flat, and there's an incredibly tedious meeting going on about three feet behind me... all about categorisation of antiques. Given this incentive, it took me a mere 25 minutes to get the problem isolated and solved, and I now have the 'hard trance' channel playing VERY LOUDLY to drown out the ongoing discussions :)
