I have been totally and utterly earwormed. I can't even figure out the source - surely there must have been some provocation for this! *pokes branemeats curiously* *hums* Gah.
An earworm is when a song (or part thereof) gets into your head and won't get the fuck out again. There are some songs which will earworm almost anyone, but some just pop up every now and then, usually when you've walked past a radio playing them earlier in the day or something.
Um, I'm not logged into any IM networks, nor IRC. Would that explain it?
This happens to me on a horribly regular basis . I have figured out one possible source of this phenomenon , and that is my radio alarm clock . I was wondering for months why I had crap tunes running through my head for most of the day - and I finally realised that When I hear the first few bars whilst I'm still mostly asleep , It burrows right into my noggin .
See, I don't have any radio in my house at all, and I can't remember the last time the car was set to play anything other than CDs. My most usual source of earworming is the 'Music:' tag in friend's LJ posts, but that didn't seem to be it this time.
