I have a bankers draft for £7880* in my pocket. I pick up my car at 10pm. Today is going very slowly.

*twitch*

* £8000 minus £120** deposit
** contents of my wallet when I viewed the car :)

I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of you draped over the bonnet, model fashion!

And how grubby and sweaty is the draft, after the how many million times you have taken it ouf your pocket to check you have it ?
:)

So if you get the car around 10 pm you should be at mine about 10.15 then :)

Don't even joke about it.

I was sold the car with an empty petrol tank and a big apology, said apology backed up with a twenty pound note. Apparently the local garage he'd gone to intending to put some fuel in it was closed for some reason.

So off I set to the other local garage by his directions. Closed.

So I head for the Tesco garage that's on the route home. Closed.

The next two garages I pass still heading rather hopefully in the direction of home, also closed.

Thankfully the one after that was open, albeit with no super-unleaded, so the beastie is currently running on unleaded (which is what he was running it on anyway, but I think super would be a better idea personally).

Anyway, the tank is 70 litres as far as I know... I fitted 70.01 in there, so I must have pulled into the forecourt running on vapour.

That's not really the kind of pressure one requires, when driving an "alien" car late at night...:(
