When I come across such websites it's extremely frustrating to copy the URL from Firefox/Opera back into IE or locate a plugin for one of them to display the content properly.

I do appreciate that I'm not helping solve the problem but I really don't have the inclination to write snotty feedback to the website authors when in all probability it'll be ignored.

However if I do engage in conversation with a website author who writes content that doesn't work in another browser I will go all out to get them to change. My brother is witness to this and no longer uses shockwave or IE specific javascript on his site.
