Whoops, there went the weekend. Still, it was a good one again...

Got my body-clock back to front due to that burst of all-night Pottering Thu/Fri, so I ended up sleeping from about 5am to about 5pm on Saturday. Waking up late afternoon, an all night club seemed like a reasonable idea suddenly, so I attached myself to [livejournal.com profile] duranorak's Slimelight plans. Had to drive to London as MK isn't entitled to a train service at the weekends (I kid you not - the track is closed every weekend until next year, has been since September or something). Astoundingly managed to find Slimelight and park right near it without getting lost - that's twice now. I like that venue :)

There were a band (Waterglass, I think) who were quite good although suffering from terrible acoustics further back, which is where I was mostly lurking. Very attractive keyboardist though :)

Then there was a Slimelight, usual suspects etc etc. My reversed sleep patterns magically unreversed themselves around 2am and I wanted to sleep. Bloody typical. We headed off before 3am rolled around, I think. Crashed at [livejournal.com profile] duranorak's place only to find that her house has the worst infestation of builders I've heard for years. I swear they were drilling big holes in every external wall of her house from about an hour after we tried to go to sleep right through until midday when we finally gave up and got up. Gits.

We spent the afternoon poking around Camden, me with a rapidly emptying wallet (I now own a dress - Cambridge residents be duly scared, the Calling is the only place I can see me inflicting this new sartorial policy on).

Then it was time to head for home and do some work prepatory to actually showing my face in the office tomorrow. Unfortunately there were several billion other cars trying to get from London to Milton Keynes at the same time as me, so getting home took a while.

So: time for microwave pasta, Microsoft-file-mangling perl, and my eyelids getting heavier and heavier. ZZzzzzzzZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
