Your self-portrait... without you in it
Dec. 5th, 2002 06:28 pmA friend of mine got an interesting assignment for her photography BTec this week. She has to do a self-portrait... without her in the shot. She's currently accumulating things that she thinks define 'her' and arranging them in interesting patterns...
I thought it might be interesting to consider what I'd like to put in a self-portrait of this type, and to hear what other people might pick to represent themselves too...
I guess that's me done. Did I miss anything obvious?

- Laptop. I am first and foremost a geek - there's no denying it.
- Motorbike. I'll always be a biker, even when I don't own a bike... and right now I happen to own a very nice one :)
- Leather jacket. Clothing seems such a shallow thing to define yourself by, but then it is what most people's first impression of us is probably based on... and I wear a leather both because of the bike and because of the subcultures I lurk within (metal, goth, fetish, etc).
I guess that's me done. Did I miss anything obvious?
