denny: Photo of my face in profile - looking to the right (Eyeliner)

I find myself avoiding LJ on the grounds that there is too much to read. The obvious answer has for some time been to drop some of the journals that I subscribe to, but I've been hugely reluctant. However, the time has come. If you've been dropped from my list, it's because I don't know you that well in real life, or I was reading your journal only for about 1 in 10 of your posts that had technical content, or a few other reasons, none of them personal animosity. Sorry if you feel deeply wounded, anyone who works on a reciprocal 'friends' list basis I understand whatever steps you wish to take managing my place on your own list, etc etc.

I'll take the precaution of pointing out, although I'm sure you're all grown up enough to know this already, that the list of journals I read on LJ is NOT a list of my friends. It's a list of journals I read. There are some people on it who aren't my friends, and I have many friends who aren't on the list, both before and after today's removals.

By the way, I've not read about the last thousand entries on my 'friends' page - a month or so maybe. Anyone who had something particularly interesting happen to them lately may wish to link me, or just talk to me in real life if I ever venture out into that again :)

If I think something might interest you, shall I write

Oi! Denny!!

so it catches your eye?

I could give it a go.

That might work.

That's a remarkably devilish photo of you... what were you thinking at the time? :)
