denny: (Park - dusk)
Yesterday my travels took me through Waterloo station. I guess something about it reminded me of Victoria station, where I used to go to meet her - just the sprawling badly laid out Londonness of it :)

I hadn't realised that was why I was feeling vaguely nostalgic though.

And then I ended up behind two girls on the stairs down to the tube. Cute teenagers, in baggy trousers and tight t-shirts, laughing and talking to each other in soft northern accents.

I still didn't realise why I suddenly had a quiet smile about my face. I'm not very observant, internally speaking.

And then I lined up to go through the tube barriers behind them, and the girls jumped as the barriers slammed open, and half-ran through them, laughing, before they could bang closed behind them.

I couldn't really fail to notice what was going on in my head at that point - she always did that, I teased her about it every time she visited. I swear she thought the barriers were going to eat her one day.

Some days I think about her and I miss her a lot. The rest of the time, I think about her and I miss her even more.

Funny how some people get under your skin.

My company is hiring again. There's an advert here:

For any vegetarians reading - a number of popular chocolate bars have stopped being vegetarian:

Picnics. I assume everyone is aware of the reason that I haven't organised any more picnics since the (very successful) first two. If anyone is on first-name terms with any weather deities, give them a slap. Normal service will be resumed as soon as the summer comes back from wherever it's gone and hidden.
