The week that was...
Oct. 31st, 2005 12:40 pmSo I spent most of last week off work and offline, and had a very nice time. At first I was very disappointed about the collapse of my original plans for the time off work, but instead I got to spend time with a number of lovely people, so the week was far from wasted. It was particularly nice to spend some time with
libellum, for she is teh snuggly. The Calling on Tuesday was good, I got to see quite a few people that I wouldn't see elsewhere. The camgoth film club on Wednesday was also good, with 5 fairly mainstream films all of which I like. I was quite pleased that Velvet Goldmine couldn't be found, and 9½ Weeks got substituted instead.
Saturday night I went out to TG with a girl I met briefly at the last one. I had a very nice night, and we spent most of Sunday in bed together. Um, sleeping. "Drugs are bad, m'kay?" ;) It was nice anyway, and hopefully I'll be seeing her again fairly soon, as she lives quite close to me. :)
Back at work now, where they've very kindly saved up a number of glitches with various systems I implemented or maintain. It should probably feel like I never left, but actually the feeling left behind by the week off, and especially the weekend, is still with me and is lifting my mood considerably. I generally don't feel any pressing need to take time off work, but this week has been good. I still have two more weeks of holiday time to take this year, and I'm looking forward to using that much more now...
