It looks like I may have concluded my Whitby arrangements, with cutietrol offering me a lift there and back. Glad that's sorted out. My thanks to him for answering my whitby post, and to feanelwa for sorting out somewhere for me to sleep.

(I did manage to buy my own ticket, in case you were wondering if I'd done anything at all in preperation for this outing) :)

silveraj came up with the remarkably efficient trick of shoving glowsticks inside them - they glow out through all the little holes down the sides, it looks quite good at night. I'm very tempted to spray them black, but I suspect the hospital would bill me some extortionate amount when I returned them.

They'll probably just be grateful to have them back at all - many don't bother returning them. It won't stop them working after all.

Well, I did think I could point out to them that any of the unfortunately numerous bikers they see would be happy to be given black crutches to take home with them. I still bet they'd sulk if I did it though. And bill me.

Last I knew, you weren't sure if you were going to come and get me or not - or indeed whether you were going to hire a car or not - so when someone else offered, I thought I'd better jump at the chance. I'm a bit limited on alternative options if you decided you were going to catch the train or something.

Sorry if I've fucked this up, I'm not used to relying on other people for transport and it's freaking me out a bit.
