[Poll #185749]

I think my thoughts here will be clear from the bias in the answers. I'm sorry, but I don't believe that thing has enough flesh on it to legally be considered a named cut of meat - I have no idea what Kentucky call it, but I call it a sneaky way to sell you three pieces of edible chicken and charge you for six, because there are three of those things at the bottom of the bucket. The only use for them is that you can pick the herbs and spices stuff off and eat it with your chips, but that's an expensive bit of seasoning.

The "thing made of ribs" is a thigh. go figure. Sorry I forgot, i don't want that as my favorite, i hate em. My favorite is the keel which they don't have anymore, it's a breast down the center so you get all meat and one little bone. Very nice.

A thigh? A thigh?!?

In what warped universe...?

Oh well, I suppose there's no accounting for fast-food-speak. If they called it the ribs people might notice what it was and actually complain. :)

The keel thing sounds interesting... I don't remember those, and I've been scoffing KFC for 20+ years now. Country-specific, maybe?

could be US only, they always charged more if you wanted one and i guess no one knew about them. now they consider a wing white meat (what meat, that's what I say).

Incidentally, you can change your answer(s) if you so wish - just retake the poll.

I've eaten KFC perhaps twice in my life (on both occasions at the instigation of [livejournal.com profile] grahamb, without whose presence in my life I would have happily remained a multinational fast food chain virgin), and been violently sick both times. Even the second time, when it was only half a chicken burger and some 'fries'. Nothing would ever induce me to put anything so noxious in my stomach again.

I read that as 'fast-food chain-virgin' instead of 'fast-food-chain virgin'. Something amuses me about the concept of a chain virgin. Is that a BDSM newcomer, or someone who has their hymen regularly rebuilt, or what?

Perhaps I need to get out more. Yes, that seems likely.

Chicken is indeed a good option for fast-food food-poisoning. I once ate a very dodgy chicken burger after taking a trip on New Year's Eve... being sick while hallucinating isn't something I recommend. The only other time in my life I've been that disoriented was in hospital when they were pumping me full of morphine.

I hate KFC. And what is it with those plastic shrink-wrapped shrivelled up corn on the cobs?

I hate sweetcorn, so I've never tried them. Even the smell of them makes me feel mildly nauseous.
