Eek. Luckily it's proven so controversial that it's just been pushed back to the committee stage. Coincidently I posted a Slashdot story (http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=03/08/28/133211&mode=nested&tid=113&tid=123&tid=126&tid=155&tid=95&tid=99) revolving around software patents only today...
