Ah. That bit of paper folds open. And inside it, where I didn't look before, it says that my plea must be submitted so that it reaches the court "no later than three days before the hearing". That applies whether I intend to plead guilty or not, and whether I intend to attend court or not.

That'll be me in trouble then.

I'm pretty sure you can bring a plea of guilty with you to the court... but I know you can't really get there.

Did you work this out in the end? I just read over your last few (dozen) entries, and it seems like yesterday was crunch time. How went it?

They let me fax the stuff across on Monday morning, with the originals to chase it in the post. I don't suppose I'll hear anything about the outcome of my trial for a few weeks now, it tends to be a while before they notify you what decisions were taken.
