I forgot, I got a text message on Saturday from the 'wrong number' girl. Now normally I have quite strong principles about not sharing private communications without the consent of both parties, but as this is unsolicited I feel it falls into the category of spam and is fair game:

*blinks*

Then she rang me on the way home from London. At 1am.

"Denny speaking"
"Hi!" says a happy sounding female.
"Hello? Who's this?"
"It's Amy"
"Oh. Hello Amy. I'm driving so I can't chat..."
*interrupts* "What time will you get home, will you ring me back?"
"Don't you think this is slightly bizarre? Why do you want to talk to me?"
"Oh okay, bye" (still sounding inanely cheerful)

I'm a bit lost here. If this had happened by email I'm pretty sure my spam filters would have picked it up before it ever reached my inbox...

I forgot to say anything about organising a ride - possibly because I realise that my bike is not quite in fully working order atm. Having left it so long the battery is dead and won't charge. I was going to get another one tonight but I've managed to leave the dratted receipt at home so I'll have to call my friend. Anyway, I was also hoping to get the other bits and pieces looked at but I *still* don't know about my speeding problem.

But anyway, yes! Splendid idea. I'm getting my bike sorted ASAP.

*looks pensive* I got my Court Summons for the insurance thing a couple of weeks ago, haven't actually got all the evidence together and sent it back with a begging letter yet though. The court date is April 29th, I don't know how long after that before I find out how bad they hit me, but the minimum penalty is 6 points anyway, so it's not going to be good whatever it is...

Hopefully it won't load my insurance premiums up too badly, as it's almost a null offense from their point of view - if you're buying insurance, you're obviously not committing that crime! *looks hopeful*

Yeah, hope so. My problem is my MOT is due in June. I want to know whether it's worth getting the exhausts fixed (as they'll need to be for the MOT) at around £500, but I might have to get rid of the thing if I can't afford to insure it AND pay any fine. *sigh*. I don't really know yet.

What I *would* like to do is get my leaky tank problem fixed and the carbs cleaned. That would make any ride a whole lot more enjoyable :)

Anyway, best of luck for the court case thing. Mine was on the 24th March and I still haven't heard :S

Some very odd stuff happened in my life last year (dramatic end of a relationship), and I was a bit concerned it could relate to that, but on the whole I think she's probably just some pisshead who rang me by accident the first time and is now ringing me when she's drunk, bored and lonely. Still slightly unnerving though...

Aaaaaahhhhhhh! Yes, of course, she's a collector. That explains it all. Including why she hasn't got back to me since I sent her my description... green eyes, y'see - I'm no use to her at all  ;)
