Thirty-three and one-third
Dec. 12th, 2006 01:54 pmThis New Year's Eve more or less coincides with my 33+1/3rd birthday. I decided to celebrate this particular number earlier this year, partly due to a burst of LP-based nostalgia, partly due to having essentially missed my 30th birthday due to extreme injury and hospitalisation, and partly just because it made me laugh every time I thought of it.
Anyway, there was a plan to celebrate at Planet Angel, inviting as many people to join me as possible, but sadly they decided to do a Thames cruise for NYE, at a fairly high cost - not really something I could expect many people to turn up to if I colonised it. Instead of this then, I have decided to spend my 33+1/3rd birthday celebrations with some of the people who I would have hoped to see at PA if it had been one of their regular events -![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
denari, altered_state, and various others attending their NYE party. At which I will be loudly trying to claim that it's my 33+1/3rd party, despite more than half of the people there having never heard of me. I will probably take along cake to back up my claims. ;)
If you'd like to come along to my/their party, then leave a comment (they're screened), and I'll run it past the hosts to see if they have any problems with my suggested entourage. They seem pretty happy with me bringing along "anyone who will be cool", but it seems polite to give them fair warning if a lot of you are interested.
The party is in north London somewhere, within range of the free NYE transport as far as I'm aware, so people who are party-hopping all night might be able to make it along to this one for a while to wish me a happy non-birthday at some point :)
