Twasn't so much the smoke (although that always figures in). It was more a total failure of my social skills. At the same time as gothslut really needed to be in the pub, I really needed to be somewhere quiet and chilling out. I didn't communicate this very well, so left in a bit of a foul mood and feeling rejected.

Then I got stranded alone in London for a couple of hours, to round the evening off :)

All worked out okay in the end though. I must work on this irrational hatred of pubs that I have. I'm not even sure what the real issue is, although I suspect it might be some kind of spin-off from my last relationship. I really don't like them though, it's a concious effort to just sit in one and try to relax, even with the very good company that I find myself in these days.

You most certainly didn't do anything wrong, I just have this intense dislike of pubs. I'm trying to calm it down a bit, but really wasn't in the right mood to sit it out that evening, and that led into some other problems. Always a pleasure to see you :)
