If your solicitor's firm is anything like our firm, getting to this stage is a good sign. Our firm keeps counsel on hand for advice all along and if by the pre-trial review stage counsel has determined the chance of a successful outcome to be less than a certain percent (in our case 50%, but some go with less than 60-70%) then he'll advise not to proceed with the claim. If that's what's happening with your claim, then counsel is confident of a good outcome.
If it comes to trial and you do get bumped from 11 July, they would normally try to schedule for the next available date but I think it depends on the Court as to how long the wait might be. Here's hoping the other case settles and you get this date and get it over with.
