Bugger. I actually have no bones with Telewest (and am a customer of theirs, as are a significant proportion of my friends), but know that NTL (as I have worked for them) have made a huge number of duff decisions. So hearing that Telewest aren't going to get as much management say as they'd have liked frankly scares me and makes me wonder what the future holds :/
I'm a Telewest customer here... they've not been any more or less impressive than Pipex so far. They're fine until something goes wrong, then they turn out to have no customer service department whatsoever, and a selection of clueless morons on tech support who refuse to escalate you to level 2 despite the fact that they don't understand anything you're trying to tell them.
The last time my connection bombed, it took me four working days (plus a weekend when I didn't even try) to persuade level 1 to connect me to level 2, and 3 minutes to get the problem fixed when they finally did it.
