1) How do you get all these women to worship you? ;)
"Chicks dig scars" ;)
Actually I have no idea what happened. At school I was always that unpopular kid sat in the corner - people didn't talk to me, let alone date me. At some point in the last few years I seem to have fallen in with a crowd who perceive me as being quite attractive/desirable... which is still confusing to realise, but I'm starting to believe it enough to let it boost my ego up a touch, it's nice.
2) Has your recent injury changed your perception of bikes at all? Will you drive the same as you did before?
It hasn't changed my perception of bikes, as I was always a realist about the chances of something like this happening... it won't change my riding for the better, I don't think, because it was an unavoidable accident - nothing I could have done before or during the whole thing would have prevented me hitting that car. I suppose I might be more likely to wear full leathers in future - although they might not have helped much this time, they're generally a Good Thing™.
What will probably come out of it though is that I'll be really scared when I get back on a bike... at the minute, even seeing other bikes on the road, I get really nervous for their safety - I mean really nervous, I have to remember to breathe while they're in sight. Hopefully I'll be able to pull through that and get back to the way I was before the accident - aware of the dangers, but not paralysed by consideration of them.
3) What's the most annoying thing about not being able to walk?
The most annoying limitation the leg puts on me isn't actually mobility as such, it's the way it's reduced my options in my sex life! There aren't a lot of positions that don't rely on the bloke having two weight-bearing legs...
I think in the long term what's really going to bother me is not being able to dance. I'd been getting used to going clubbing nearly every week before the accident, and it's probably going to be nearly a year before I'm safe to really bounce around on a dancefloor the way I like to :(
4) What's your favorite album right now?
Prodigy, Experience.
I have other bands and albums that I get really into for a while, and I tend to listen to the same thing a lot for a while, but I always come back to Prodigy, and Experience is so brilliantly definitive of a time and a style of music. It almost always makes me happy just listening to it.
5) If you could wave a magic wand and change one choice in your past, what would it be and why?
I'd not get into the relationship that I was in a couple of years ago. I'd regret the decision not to get involved in it, because we had a lot of fantastic times... but that relationship fucked up my whole life for a while, and parts of my life possibly forever.
