So, you're using an online shop. You click 'buy' on something shiny. The place the site stores the list of shiny things which you intend to buy should best be named... what?

PS: I'm in a really good mood today. Apparently the euphoria of having the first serious client sign up for some work from Shiny Ideas (on Friday just gone) is going to hang around and/or recur for a while. Which is nice :)

I live in the US and it probably should be called a cart if the store's American, given the fact we use (grocery) carts far more than (grocery) baskets, but I like 'basket' better. (I've also lived in the UK for two years, so there's that.)

I live in the US. Basket is slightly more charming than cart, but either one sounds find.

Really, it depends on your imagery. If you're using pictures of a shopping trolley, it's a cart in the US. If it's a hand-carried basket, it's a basket.

If you're not using either of those images, either is fine.

It's for a hopefully vaguely generic open source webapp, rather than any particular client. I'm going to pick one for now, and put 'make this configurable' on the TODO list (and hope that somebody else does it at some point in the distant future, probably).
