I think the stats are possibly being heavily bent in the near vicinity of the phrase 'not including spayed/neutered animals'. If PETA's policy is to spay/neuter before re-homing (which is fairly normal as far as I'm aware, over here anyway), then the anti-PETA site could be throwing away pretty much all of the relevant data.

Or, maybe there's some other reason they do it, and this site is by people who think that PETA isn't extreme enough in its defence of "animal rights".
