As I'm not feeling much like leaving the flat, I thought I should do something useful inside it. No, not unpack - let's not be silly.

This would be cooler if I could have got the Matrix screensaver even slightly in focus:



The centre screen is 1600x1200, the two outrunners are 1280x1024. X deals with this by giving me a 4160(!)x1200 desktop, with two 1280x176 sections I can't use at the bottom left and bottom right.

Or play Doom using 3 monitors... (there's a linux version now surely?)

Wow - much coolness!

I've just bought 2 LCD monitors today to replace the two CRTs which are taking up my whole desk (but only one is in used atm as I need to buy another graphics card).

Oh, and I like the arty/sexy background on the desktop...

Heh.. i have the 2 LCD thingies, too.. not nearly as sexxy a background.. And, a glass desk, that is covered in about 6 inches of stuff.. currently stuff pile includes a bunch of negatives from a photography class.... dress i wore last night.. and.. some "tri-flow superior lubricant with teflon - penetrates and protects (for bicycle chains)"

My keyboard stays in the keyboard drawer below the desk where I can't see the keys (since the desk is always covered in stuff)

Oh now that's sweet.

You would have loved the setup we used to have in our processing suites. 4x30" monitors, all hooked up. THen of course there was the 'cave' which had all the walls back projected and viewed with 3d glasses, you could walk through the rock volumes and modify them by waving your hands around with a motion sensitive mouse. trippy.
