I wonder what the suicide rate is there; I know it's what I'd be thinking about if I were trapped in that kind of place...
They probably take great care to make sure you can't get at anything that would allow you to commit suicide.
It's horrible. If you're at boarding school, at least you know you've only got a finite amount of time there. And even the nastiest boarding schools these days don't try to manipulate your mind every moment of the day, and they're trying to give you a proper education. Christ, it sounds like they're turning out little zombies.
After US military schools, frankly I'm not surprised, although I am horrified. They're using classic techniques of brainwashing, that this isn't illegal is appalling. Shame the US don't have something like the EU court of human rights, but that's America for you.
