Yep, my bike is back on the road. Charged the battery up yesterday in a fit of needing something positive to do (no pun intended). Slotted it back in this morning and Vroom we're off.
All set for the ride? I was told I needed to change my brake pads, so after getting everything together I took both sides off and discovered that they both had at least half wear left on them! Damn.
My exhausts desperately need replacing too, but I'm going to wait and find out if I've been banned or that I can still afford the insurance after the speeding thing before spending another 500 or so getting the exhausts replaced :/
I think so, yeah. It looks scruffy as hell, but it seems to be running fine. Makes my SRi feel like a Fiesta!
It's sounded a bit vocal ever since I crashed it in 2001 (I didn't ride it much last summer). I think I've broken the seal slightly where the exhaust does the 2 into 1 thing... it doesn't sound rough though, just a bit lumpy, so I'm not panicking about it until I have spare cash to get it looked at - which will be a fair while, I'm guessing.
I know you've told me before, but I've forgotten - what do you ride?
