Blarg. Yay.
Just got up. From this we can conclude that NYE at TG (I decided to go in the end) was a success :) Largely thanks to a few random strangers who were very friendly (stop sniggering at the back... actually, no, as you were), plus a few friends who I saw there - particularly ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

Music was a bit slow up to gone 2am, which was a shame... the dancefloor didn't really start to feel energetic until Allen's set was well underway. He started out at the same BPM as the guy before him, but then picked it up about half an hour in and suddenly everyone woke up a bit. I dunno why TG puts the best DJs (Allen and *ting* this time) on last, when half the customers have gone home, it seems like such a waste.
Anyway, review to follow on UK Fetish Info, I'll link that when it's done rather than waffle here. This year I hope to try and revive UKFI from its slumber... it's weathered a few years of minimal input from me pretty well, readership is only down to a fairly steady 400ish visitors a day, compared to its peak of over 600 when I was last actively promoting it. Hopefully I can pick it up again if I just start generating a bit more content and getting the name out there again, and build it up beyond where it last peaked. The site concept is still sound (imho), so we'll see. I did made a poor start to this revival last night, by completely forgetting to put out the flyers that I took to TG with me, d'oh :)
2005 seems to have been a consistently rough year for a lot of people, and a bit of a rollercoaster for others. I hope 2006 is nicer to everyone.

I know of quite a few people who left early as they said the night had a " flat " vibe...a few of them are regulars and are currently so dissapointed they are not going to return.
I know you can't please all the people all the time, but maybe Alan TG should be amade aware of this.
