Not bad, not bad at all...

Nice evening out in Croydon (no, really, stop laughing). Shame I had to run out relatively early to catch the last tram back... things will be much more relaxed when I have transport again. Unexpected and most cheering text message on the way home, so I'm a bit perky now.

Speaking of transport, I got an email from the guy who has my car... at least two weeks from now before I get it back, he's only just got the engine out :( Oh well, he did say two to three weeks originally, so I shouldn't be so disappointed to hear that it's going to be three. Just hope it doesn't run to four or five now...

In somewhat better news, apparently people who attended last weekend's party were very impressed, and [livejournal.com profile] djlongfella is receiving numerous enquiries from people who would like their next party to look that good. The going rate for such a job is a hefty sum, but so far people are sounding interested nonetheless... so it looks like I might be doing some more fire-shows across the summer :)

This weekend I shall mostly be rocking out with friends, going to parties, shopping in Camden with gorgeous models, and then going clubbing with them. Life could be worse.

glad the party was good - I was sorry to miss it, particularly since I ended up not starting doing the painting I missed it to do, and working myself into a mood. any gossip?

I didn't go to a party tonight, I was at a bar in Croydon at some sort of indie/rock night thing, with [livejournal.com profile] zeke_hubris and [livejournal.com profile] exitwound. Party tomorrow, with [livejournal.com profile] wechsler and friends. Then shopping and clubbing on Sunday with [livejournal.com profile] goth_amalthea and [livejournal.com profile] ulorin_vex. It's all go :)

Aren't you about due some R&R time? Or does painting work for you in that respect?

ah, I assumed you were at [livejournal.com profile] duranorak's - forgive me :)

I am indeed due some R & R. Unfortunately, this commission is for a silver wedding anniversary taking place the last weekend of July. It takes a week to be framed, so I'll need to take it to the framers on Fri 22nd. I need to have finished it at least three days earlier to give it time to dry, and I'm in Sweden from 4th - 19th July. It therefore needs to be finished by the 4th, and since that leaves me just over a week which also includes my birthday, graduation, graduation dinner, moving house and a weekend in London, I really need to get on with it...

Oops, that is a bit pressing isn't it. Hope it all flows nicely once you get yourself started...

oh, and ... no, painting doesn't relax me. It fulfils me, but it's difficult and annoying and it puts me in an absolutely foul mood and once I'm faced with it I'd rather do anything else. Except that I can't live without it and I itch, and it's a big compulsive thing, and there are times when I do love it, although not in a relaxing way, but they make it worth it.

Hahahaha. Yes, I know exactly what you mean. It's coding for me.
