Room for rent in central London, April 2011
Sowing the seeds of possibility early, in case it becomes relevant to anyone later; my flatmate says he's moving out at some point in March, so I'll probably be looking for a new flatmate from April onwards. Ideally I'd prefer to share my flat with a friend, or friend of friends, or some other known quantity, so if you know anyone who might be interested and well-suited then please point them here.
The flat is on the ground floor, with its own front door. It's about 5-10 minutes walk* from Old Street tube. The room is a small/medium double (9' x 11'). It's currently furnished, but I don't mind moving stuff out if it's not wanted. I'll post more details about the room/flat/building/area nearer the time, but feel free to email me for info if you're interested - my email address is 2010@denny.me (this year, and the same but 2011 next year).
The room needs repainting and stuff before the new person moves in, so I'm open to (vaguely sensible!) requests for a colour scheme - otherwise it'll probably end up white, because I'm simple like that. If the person moving in wants to help with the decorating then they'd be in a very good position to negotiate lower rent for the first few months - or longer if they want to help me finish sorting out the living room and hallway too. :)
Before negotiations rent is £600 per calendar month including ALL bills - that's rent, council tax, water, electricity, gas, phone line (with free national calls evenings and weekends) and 20Mb ADSL + wifi.
* Depending on your walking speed. I did it in 3 minutes once, but I regretted it. :)
