Violent Pornography - poll

Okay, I've set this so anybody can vote, but nobody can see who voted for what. Feel free to link both this post and the one before it which explains the options.

TO CLARIFY: do not tick your personal likes/dislikes here - tick the things you think should be banned from being shown/described in any kind of pornography.

Another clarification: assume consent of all performers. I think it's safe to assume that everyone likely to be reading this agrees on the issue of consensuality (if you don't, feel free to explain why in a comment - anon if you prefer). This would include a pre-death release form signed by the corpse, in the case of necrophilia. You can decide your own definition of 'consenting' for an animal for purposes of voting on bestiality (please see my reply to [livejournal.com profile] libellum below).

[Poll #604149]

I hadn't thought of that (which is odd actually, as I have given my consent to a couple of people in the past). Of course in that situation it wouldn't be non-consensual, although I'd feel a little uncomfortable if the consent wasn't written, since it'd be a bit tricky for the corpse to sit up and say "Oi, I never said that."

I think, as [livejournal.com profile] ciphergoth has observed, that this debate has drifted... it's probably my fault for not phrasing things clearly enough in the original post/poll. I think I may post a follow-up poll on just the bits that people seem excited about, and try to be clearer with that one.

One thing this poll has definitely shown so far is that the majority of people reading this entry couldn't care less about pornography featuring most of the actions on the list. I suppose that can probably be considered to be at least as much a comment on the quality of my friends as on the quality of the proposed laws though :)

I think that most of the really objectionable stuff is already illegal. For me, the issue of consent makes or breaks most of it. And I certainly wouldn't want to view visual pornography containing most of these things. (Written stuff is slightly different).
